Beauty Q: How much do you typically spend on shampoo?

THERE ARE TWO types of people in this world: those who think it’s completely fine to wash your hair with shower gel, and those who think that doing so is right up there with committing a war crime.
That’s not an exaggeration. If you want a good laugh, track down your most high maintenance pal and casually tell them that you wash your hair with 3-in-1 shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and see how they react. You might as well have told them you murdered somebody. In fairness though, 3-in-1 shower gels are fairly awful.
There’s been plenty of debate on how much you should spend on shampoo, everywhere from glossy magazines, to men’s interests sites and women’s forums and everyone seems to have an opinion. Obviously, you can only spend as much as you can afford on shampoo because it’s going to end up going down the drain anyway, and it’s definitely not the end of the world if your hair’s marginally drier than someone who can afford to get all of their toiletries in Space NK or Brown Thomas.

But we’re interested in seeing how many people steer clear of supermarket shelves, put some research into what they’re buying and try to splash out when they’re buying shampoo.
So, tell us. How much do you typically spend on a bottle of shampoo or conditioner?
